Our client in the Manufacturing sector specialising in cosmetics production is recruiting to fill the position of a Brand/Marketing Manager:
QUALIFICATION
- Candidate must be between the ages of 35-45, with a minimum of 10 years work experience – not less than 5 years as a Brand/Marketing Manager in a fast moving consumer goods company.
- Graduate qualification in Marketing or Economics.
- Candidate must be proficient in making PowerPoint presentations.
- Proper written and verbal communication skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing all aspects of the brand through the supply chain both tangible and intangible.
- Analysing the brand/current strategy and highlighting areas of weaknesses or conflicting messages.
- Creating a brand plan/strategy and ensuring all aspects of the product or companies marketing as well as activities align with the ethos and goals of the brand.
- Creating an enduring brand message that results in increased sales, brand loyalty and improved market share.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Championing the brand internally by making sure all elements of the company understand the brand and its goals.
- Working closely with all parts of the company to ensure commercial goals of the brand are met.
- Developing and sustaining strong working relationships with all stakeholders.
- Playing a key part in buying, sourcing and manufacturing of the brands products as well as ensuring all aspects of the supply chain align with the brand.
- Developing high quality and effective marketing materials that align correctly with the overall brand strategy.
- Realistic forecasting of sales/volume for the brand and ensuring all parts of the company are geared accordingly.
- Presenting the brand strategy to directors and sales/marketing teams at internal meetings/conferences.
- Managing external agencies and ensuring marketing budgets are met.
- Seek out new marketing opportunities that fit with the brand.
- Sourcing suppliers and products that fit with the context of the brand.
- Monitoring market trends.
- Organising events, photo shoots and launch parties.
- Managing the budget for advertising and promotional items.
- Competitor and customer insights analysis.
