Pat Diaku
Pat Diaku is a high calibre individual with a very high sense of duty that ensures delivery of required results. She has a proven track record of successfully handling several projects through methodical, thorough and diligent work.
A natural relationship builder, purposeful, yet flexible and able to adapt positively to any challenges that arise, she started her career working majorly with several CEOs of multinationals in the Pharmaceutical, Marine and Dredging, Telecommunications, Automobile and Construction sectors of the economy beginning as Personal Assistant till she rose through the ranks to become the Director of Operations at the Construction arm of Office Protocols and Concepts Limited as well as the Chief Operating Officer of Chicken eXtra Limited, a Quick Service Restaurant situated along Lekki-Epe Expressway in Lagos; two very dynamic roles she handles very well.
A graduate of Business Management from the University of Sunderland, UK, she is also a Bilingual Secretary by training and holds the Diplome de Langue Francaise and the Diplome Superieur d’etude Commercials from Alliance Francaise of Paris. A University of Leicester MBA student, she is a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI), and was the Institute’s first Project Manager for the International Project Management Day, 2010 as well as the first recipient of the Volunteer of the year Award for the Institute in Nigeria in 2010.
As a LEAD Fellow (Cohort 16), she led her Project Team as Head to the LEAD International Session in Canada, 2011 by virtue of the Environmental Project carried out in Lagos with the Corona School, Victoria Island, pupils which won the recognition of the Gov. Babatunde Fashola led administration and was eventually adopted by all public schools in the state. She not only serves in several volunteer groups working especially with young adults and women both here and outside the country, she also serves as mentor to several young and budding entrepreneurs believing that the lost societal values can be restored again through proper work ethics and plain honesty.
Pat Diaku is a woman of many hats, having worked in every continent of the world (approximately 23 different countries) in various capacities. She believes in professionalism and so she is very passionate about Business Office Management and Administration as she believes the back office which is the power house behind the successes of every organization must be managed super effectively. Apart from teaching in her vocational school where she equips young people in our society with practical survival skills, she enjoys teaching her Entrepreneurial classes such critical subjects like Business/Work Ethics, Personal Productivity and Effectiveness, Customer Service Skills and Leading and Leadership among others.
The Founder of ‘The Girl Plus Foundation’, a mission to the African girl-child and young women, she is married with two teenage children.
