Our client in the Manufacturing sector specialising in cosmetics production is recruiting to fill the position of a Business Development Manager:
QUALIFICATION
- Candidate must be between the ages of 35-45, with a minimum of 10 years work experience – not less than 5 years as a Business Development Manager in a fast moving consumer goods company.
- Graduate qualification in Marketing – Business Administration.
- Candidate must be proficient in making PowerPoint presentations.
- Strong selling and negotiation skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promote products/services to customers and negotiate contracts with the aim of maximising sales profits.
- Create business opportunities by identifying prospects, evaluating their position in the industry and analysing sales options.
- Establishing contact, developing relationships with prospects and recommending solutions.
- Overseeing marketing initiatives within the organisation.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Overall accountability for managing sales activities with the objective of expanding the products’ market and growth.
- Researches/recommends new opportunities, profit and service improvements.
- Identifies product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities and competitors.
- Strategising and continuously working towards brand building.
- Managing, strengthening and leveraging customer relationship across all main customer groups.
- Building a competent and result-oriented sales team.
- Coordinating with manufacturing, marketing and supply chain functions on stock availability and product delivery.
- Dealing with commercial activities pertaining to sales functions viz-a-viz credit policy.
- Analysing market intelligence on competition and strategising accordingly.
- Deep insight into B2B and B2C markets.
- Developing specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all SKUs.
- Maintaining quality service by establishing and enforcing the organisation’s standards.
- Organising sales visits and establishing new business.
- Demonstrating and presenting products.
- Providing weekly, monthly and quarterly reports on the productivity level of the sales team.
