Wale Fatade
Wale Fatade is a journalist and Executive Director, Media Support Centre, a media NGO dedicated to production and dissemination of media content to advance accountability in governance and enhance civil society community engagement in social change. Currently, he writes a weekly column for The Cable, an online newspaper, and he is also a regular analyst on MAX 102.3FM and a journalism trainer.
Prior to this, he was Assistant Managing Editor, news, with Timbuktu Media Limited, publishers of NEXT newspapers and 234next.com He has also worked with The Guardian and Daily Independent newspapers. He has consulted for the United Nations, Ford Foundation, and was the pioneer communication officer of ActionAid International in Nigeria.
A graduate of Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, New York, where he was a Ford Foundation International Fellow, he also holds a degree in zoology from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan.
Fatade is married to Ireti, an accountant, and they have two boys.
